About our Team

Samsung R&D Institute Poland is looking for Android Developer, for the team working on Samsung Wallet solution. The project team covers full product scope – from payment solution and Digital Identity, to the value added services (tickets, membership cards etc.). If you would like to work on innovative solutions from ideation, through proof of concept, to the commercialization phase, come and join us.

Mobile Payments are already revolutionizing the market. Digital ID is going to change the way we interact between our offline and online life. Role and Responsibilities

  • Development of Globally commercialized Android app
  • Development of PoC projects
  • Support commercialization phase of Wallet App for EU region
  • Research about innovative Digital Identity/ authentication solutions
  • Implement and maintain security and data protection measures
  • Participate in international meetings
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of software engineering best practices

  • Android Java / Kotlin
  • ReactiveX, AndroidX, SQLite
  • GitHub, Gerrit, Jira, Confluence

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Java and Kotlin for Android development experience and a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Knowledge of mobile security and cryptography topics
  • IT related education or relevant commercial experience
  • Familiar with data protection best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to write clean and high quality code
  • Good English - communication level

Nice to have

  • JSON, JMESPath, JWT
  • C++, Rust
  • Experience with mobile payments solutions (MDES, VTS)
  • Familiarity with various Digital ID related specifications and technologies (e.g. ISO mDL, Verifiable Credentials, OpenID, FIDO)
  • Familiarity with decentralized technologies (e.g. Hyperledger)
