Data Scientist for Business Intelligence Project

About our Team / About our Project

You will be a member of the very uniquely positioned project team working with almost all data collected within Samsung. After having your hands on data cleaning you will be able to extract the knowledge coming from it like users and customers behavioral habits, content preferences, frequently used product features, predict customers’ decisions, decompose time series into trends and periodicity, detect abnormalities and explain their root causes. You will have the chance to influence future business decisions resulting from your analysis.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, processing, analyzing and exploring various data types
  • Analyzing datasets to discover trends and patterns that can be translated into business insights
  • Building models predicting future data and analyzing anomalies
  • Exploring user behavior to determine their segments

Technologies in use

  • Python, SQL
  • Big Data & Cloud Technologies: PySpark, Hadoop, GCP/AWS
  • ML/DL frameworks: PyTorch, Tensorflow, SciPy ecosystem

Skills and Qualifications

  • BSc (last year students welcome) or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
  • Programming skills in Python
  • Proficiency in SQL queries for data acquisition, integration and manipulation
  • Experience with data cleaning and parsing
  • Statistical analysis and data visualization
  • Good command of English in speech and writing allowing free communication

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python scientific libraries, e.g.: Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn
  • Experience in Machine Learning, Data Modeling and Predictive Analytics algorithms
  • Experience in Big Data and/or Business Intelligence domain (e.g. NoSQL databases, data warehouses, object stores, data ingestion, ETL process, cluster computing, data mining)
  • Knowledge of Google Platform tools e.g.: BigQuery, Superset
  • Experience with AWS Compute or GCP platforms
  • Experience with data visualization tools e.g.: Tableau, Grafana
  • Experience with version control platforms e.g. Github
