DevOps Engineer for IoT Solutions

About our Team

Samsung R&D Institute Poland, is looking for experienced Dev Ops engineer, for the team working on the development of business services based on Cloud architecture.

Our team is dedicated to help customers tackle global energy crisis, by providing innovative Building IoT solutions. We develop systems for more efficient and sustainable management of building infrastructure. It allows customers control various types of devices in commercial buildings (HVAC - Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning systems, automation devices, sensors, energy management etc.) The team works on full process of software delivery from business analysis, through design of architecture, UX/UI and implementation of both backend and frontend.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Participate in designing and building of Cloud based IoT solution
  • Configuration, development and integration of CI/CD processes
  • Building test environments for developers and testers in cloud infrastructure
  • Supporting development team during deployment of developed software
  • The team works on full process from business analysis through design of architecture, UX/UI and implementation of both backend and frontend - your role is to support them as a DevOps

Technologies in use

  • Terraform, Ansible, Linux, Windows, Kudu, PostgreSQL, ELK Stack, Java, Docker, Git, Visual Studio Code
  • AZURE (App Service, IIS Web Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, KeyVault, Logs, Virtual Machine, Networks), AWS, GCP

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of commercial experience on similar position + few years of experience in software engineering/IT field
  • Practical experience in Azure or other Cloud Computing solutions
  • Good knowledge of Linux an Windows environment
  • Experience designing and working with modern Continuous Integration and Deployment solutions (Git Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI)
  • Knowledge of software building tools (Maven, Gradle)
  • Experience in monitoring network, services and apps
  • Experience in working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
  • Proficiency in English, enough to communicate and understand technical documentation
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in the field of Informatics, Telecommunication or related subject

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of REST API and microservices
  • Experience in working with noSQL DBs
  • Experience in the area of cloud infrastructure and app architecture performance optimization
