As an IT Automation specialist, you’ll be part of the IT solutions team and act as a subject matter expert on the challenges of automating IT operations.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge and a strong interest in process automation and software-defined infrastructure and approaches it from the perspective of a software engineer. Challenges of globally distributed organizations, integrating systems, and automating processes should drive you.

You will work with some incredibly talented and passionate colleagues with solid technical backgrounds to support our organization in achieving better efficiency.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Leverage and develop automation tools to empower users with self-serve capabilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the challenges of infrastructure and IT operations
  • Translate Product Owner requirements into actionable technical tasks
  • Continuous improvement of the systems and services offered by your team
  • Follow and contribute to global engineering practices
  • Empower your team with tooling and automation, including CI/CD
  • Contribute to developing runbooks, keep disaster recovery plans up to date, and run fire drills
  • Test implemented solutions and respect other non-functional requirements
  • Co-own technical relationships with several service providers and vendors
  • Establishing capacity and growth plans to be executed by automation
  • Empower IT operations with on-boarding and off-boarding automation
  • Develop integrations between our internal tools
  • Conceptualize and models user directory and permission schemes

Required Skills and Experience

  • Relevant IT operations and automation experience
  • Strong understanding of user directories (AD, LDAP, Okta)
  • Experience with operating system management and automation (Windows, OSX, Linux)
  • Experience managing SaaS solutions (Jira, Okta, etc.)
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Golang, etc.)
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Experience using and managing AWS services
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Salt, etc.)
  • Know how to make the most of an agile multi-team environment
  • Be resourceful, inventive, and passionate about technology
  • You are eager to challenge the status quo and willing to learn new programming languages
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and promptly resolve problems
  • Proactively addresses potential issues before they occur
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential, and knowledge of French may be an asset
