Role and Responsibilities

  • Analysis and interpretation of linguistic data
  • Preparing linguistic resources (e.g. dictionaries, corpora, annotations, and others)
  • Creation of linguistic rules (pattern detection in text)
  • Performing tasks related to syntax and semantics
  • Providing linguistic support to a team of engineers
  • Reviewing the work of other linguists

Skills and Qualifications

  • Very good command of written and spoken Korean, including colloquial, everyday speech (C1 level)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Korean grammar
  • Good command of English (B2 or above)
  • General interest in technology
  • Diligence, quality-focus and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills

Nice to have

  • Degree or last year of studies in Korean linguistics, philology or related fields (please include the topic of your BA or MA thesis in your resume)
  • Knowledge of syntactic analysis for application development
  • Experience in computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, annotation, translation, copywriting, or related areas
  • Specialization in one of the following subfields: natural language processing, psycho- or neurolinguistics, corpus linguistics, syntactic theories, grammatical frameworks, formal semantics, generative grammar
