Samsung Ads is an advanced advertising ecosystem, spanning hundreds of millions of smart devices across TV, mobile, desktop, and beyond. The project we are recruiting for is focused on enabling brands to connect with Samsung TV audiences building the world’s smartest advertising platform. We use machine learning algorithms for advertising campaigns to enhance targeting, personalization, and optimization. The goal is to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time, resulting in higher engagement rates and conversion rates.

You will play a crucial role in developing and leading a Warsaw based team of talented engineers and Machine Learning experts, being a part of global R&D chain headquartered in USA, and delivering projects contributing to rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar business.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering team developing new ML/AI and performance advertising solutions, while concurrently launching enhancements/improvements to existing features
  • Partner with cross-functional with the local, US and global product & engineering, design, product marketing, sales teams to drive development of products that are recognized as best in the industry
  • Contribute to and support the vision, strategy and development roadmaps for the overall products within Ads Solutions area
  • Communicate development strategy, plans and progress to stakeholders
  • Effectively apply state of the art software engineering methods, optimize development processes and define metrics to meet highest quality standards and KPIs
  • Stay on top of trends in the advertising industry
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the ML Ads team and across the broader global organization, leveraging best practices and lessons learned from across the company.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8 or more years in leading R&D engineering teams with at least 4 of these years in digital advertising/AdTech
  • Experience applying ML/AI in product development
  • Proven track record of end to end technical product delivery, and can demonstrate the impact of the products you have shipped
  • Experience developing and executing product development roadmaps
  • Experience in Agile product development
  • Deep understanding of, and demonstrated experience with the ads and adtech ecosystem, including existing and competitive performance advertising solutions
  • Comfortable balancing concurrent projects and managing tradeoffs of a product
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or a related field. Master’s degree/ MBA a plus.
  • Spoken and written proficiency in English

Nice to have

  • Comfortable dealing with data. Experience with SQL, and data processing/data warehouses
  • Understanding of and experience building consumer-facing AdTech products
  • Strong expertise across broad computer science fundamentals: hardware, operating systems, software, data structures, and networking
  • Experience designing and implementing architecture for a large global product
