Risk Management Specialist

Role and Responsibilities

  • Conducting internal audits of procedures and financial outflows (i.e. risk assessment, audit plan, scope of work, data analysis)
  • Verifying internal procedures and standards for financial processes in order to increase efficiency, minimize risk and achieve compliance with internal and external standards
  • Creating new procedures, manuals and standards in cooperation with Compliance Officer & Finance Managers
  • Consolidating, unifying and coordinating process changes and communication across all Finance departments
  • Delivering added value to the company operations by reducing risk and improving efficiency of financial processes
  • Conducting due diligence of current and potential business partners
  • Applying internal audit standards in planning and execution of internal audit reviews/projects
  • Acting as a consultant to the business to identify areas for improvement
  • Preparing risk assessment status reports to Management including recommendations for improved and enhanced controls

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of minimum 5 years in risk-management and financial accounting related role
  • Degree in finance, accounting or another business related area; or equivalent business experience
  • Individual hold of CPA, ACCA, CIA or CFE is an advantage
  • Forensic accounting, data analysis and interviewing skills is an advantage
  • Good communication skills and business understanding
  • Project management experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proven track record of successfully closed action plans (supporting management response to risk assessment and audit findings)
